On a short trip to San Francisco in January of 2020 I noticed that Anchor Brewing was not far from where I was staying so I made it a point to stop and I am glad I did. I have always enjoyed Anchor Steam and the brewery has a long and fascinating history. Considered “America’s first and oldest craft brewery,” Anchor is known for its copper kettle brewhouse and great brewery tour which is certainly worth doing but if you just have time for a quick pint, Anchor’s Public Taps have you covered.
